Start with the documented color character
White Down is a creamy off-white. A physical comparison is needed to decide how that character works with your own finishes. White Down has more color depth than Ivory White, useful when a very light cream fails to frame warm stone.
Limestone's broad background should guide the white choice; isolated veins and small linen samples can otherwise distract from the permanent surface.
Use Soft Chamois as a control
Use the fixed cabinet or ceramic white as the starting reference for White Down. Compare the joint in daylight before adding colored fabrics. Then introduce Soft Chamois and remove it again: the useful cast is the one seen beside the fixture that will remain, not only between competing paint samples.
White Down has an LRV of 76.69; Benjamin Moore Soft Chamois OC-13 is 77.4. The difference is 0.71 points, with Soft Chamois returning more light under the reference measurement. Soft Chamois is a warm off-white with a shaded appearance. This supplies a named color control; the LRV gap alone does not identify the warmer, greener or pinker paint.
